Mark Zuckerberg Ties The Knot

It has been a busy couple of days for Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook.
On Friday, Mr. Zuckerberg took his 8-year-old company public at a $100 billion valuation.
As if that weren’t enough, on Saturday, the 28-year-old multibillionaire announced that he had married his long-term girlfriend, Priscilla Chan. The announcement was made, of course, on Facebook.

Details of the ceremony were scarce, but according The Associated Press, “The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg’s backyard before fewer than 100 guests.”
Mr. Zuckerberg did not wear his traditional hoodie for the ceremony, but instead chose a black suit and tie with a white shirt.
The couple met almost a decade ago, while attending college at Harvard University.

Mr. Zuckerberg and Ms. Chan also quickly updated their relationship status to say they were married to each other.
Even after the IPO, Zuckerberg remains Facebook's single largest shareholder, with 503.6 million shares. And he controls the company with 56 percent of its voting stock.

The site, which was born in a dorm room eight years ago, has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people.

Zuckerberg founded Facebook at Harvard in 2004.
He was named as Time's Person of the Year in 2010, at age 26.
Zuckerberg grew up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
